Cookie notice

1. Purpose of this notice

1.1 This notice is provided so that you can understand the kinds of technologies the portal may use on your browser or device. It is not an inventory of the portal’s internal configuration, and it does not describe security controls.

1.2 By continuing to use the portal after this notice has been presented, you acknowledge the use of cookies and similar technologies as described here.

2. Meaning

2.1 A cookie is a small item of data placed on a browser. Similar technologies include local storage and other mechanisms that remember a preference or a technical state on a device.

2.2 These technologies may be set by us, or by a service provider engaged to support the operation or presentation of the portal.

3. Why they are used

3.1 Cookies and similar technologies are used where they are required for the portal to function, to maintain a visit, to protect the integrity of the service, and to remember a preference such as the fact that this notice has been presented.

3.2 They are not used to sell personal information.

4. Categories

4.1 Strictly necessary technologies. These are required to deliver the portal you request. They may maintain a signed-in visit and support the proper submission of information. The portal does not offer a switch to disable technologies without which it cannot operate. If your browser blocks them, parts of the portal may not function.

4.2 Functional technologies. These remember a choice you make on your device, including acknowledgement of this notice. They remain on that device until you clear the site data for the portal, or until they expire. They are not sent to us as a profile of your activity on other websites.

4.3 The categories above are the technologies used to operate the portal. They are not used to build a profile of your activity on other websites.

5. Duration

5.1 A technology used to maintain a visit lasts for that visit, or for a limited period associated with the visit, and ends when you leave the signed-in state or when it expires, whichever occurs first.

5.2 A technology used only to remember that this notice was presented lasts until you remove it through your browser or device settings.

6. Service providers

6.1 In the course of presenting the portal, or of handling a document you choose to submit, your browser or our systems may communicate with a service provider. That communication is made so the portal can be provided. It is described, at the level of purpose and international processing, in the Privacy Notice.

6.2 Service providers are not authorised to use information obtained in this way for their own advertising.

7. Your choices

7.1 You may control or delete cookies and site data through your browser or device. The method depends on the browser you use. Blocking technologies that the portal requires may prevent sign-in or submission of a request.

7.2 Choosing Continue on the notice presented by the portal records, on that browser only, that the notice has been shown. The notice may appear again on another browser or after site data is cleared.

8. Changes

8.1 We may update this notice. The effective date above will change when we do. The current text is the text published on this page.
